All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Rishikesh is
a multi specialty government Hospital and medical college situated near pashulok
Rishikesh on the bank of river Ganga
Generally the peoples of Uttarakhand have to depend upon
either PGIMER Chandigarh or AIIMS Delhi for better medical treatment. The other
name which is common is the HIHT Jollygrant and SMI Dehradun. The other name
for the peoples of Kumaun region is Haldwani Medical College and but new Srinagar
medical college still could not develop much reputation among patients and
common man as far as medical advice and facilities are concerned.
Now the one of the top medical institute of the country is
having its presence in the state. Though it has still to be seen how it can
measure upon the expectations. The Hospital will be available for the public
from 27th May 2013.

(availability of doctors for advice): 9 to 1 pm
OPD slip:
available from 9 am to 11 am only.
Cost of OPD slip:
Rs. 10
OPD will be available for about 25 Departments of AIIMS
Rishikesh that include Surgery, general medicine, Orthopedics, Gynecology,
Neurosurgery, Dental care etc.
It is expected that super specialty treatment and medical
test facilities and advice will be available to the patients in the AIIMS
Rishikesh.
