Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test or UTET-2013: UTET-1 and UTET-II notification and other information

Uttarakhand Vidhyaleye Siksha Parishad (UBSE) Ramnagar, Nainital is again going to conduct the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Tests (UTET) 2013.

1- Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Tests (UTET-I) 2013: Minimum eligibility for primary teachers.

2- Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Tests (UTET- II) 2013: Minimum eligibility for teachers for class 6 to 8.

Date and time of exam for both Teacher Eligibility Test: 24^th February 2013 (this date stands cancelled and new date of the UTET-I and II 2013 is not fixed yet. Keep In touch for any new update on this issue).

UTET- I- 11 am to 12:30 pm

UTET-II- 2 pm to 3:30 pm

Availability of the form from the designated post offices: 27^th December, 2012 to 17^th January, 2013 from almost all main post offices of the districts of the state. List of post offices is in the link below.

Last date of the complete application form to reach at UBSE: 18^th January, 2013 up to 5 pm.

Fees structure of the both the UTET-I and UTET-II: 640 for general/OBC, 340 for SC/ST, 240 for physically handicapped.

Note- If you are applying for both then you will have to apply separately for the two UTETs (now you can apply for two UTET at the cost of one form. Please read the new update above)

Validity of the UTET: 7years from the date of issue.

Documents to be sent with the application form of the UTET-2013:

You have to send the attested documents of your qualification and age etc. along with the form.

Note- who have earlier passed the UTET can also appear for the improvement in the marks. There is no bar on the number of attempts.

Looking at the conditions and the fees it seems government is thinking to cover up its other expenditure with the money extracted from the unemployed. Just think about the huge money they will fleece from the hapless.

Declared result and the cut-off merit of Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test (U-SET) 2012: its analysis and what you have to do now

Result of the first ever USET in Uttarakhand has finally been declared by the Kumaun University, Nainital.

But there seems to be lot of confusion. Frankly speaking some confusion is self made due to the high aspirations which might have been shattered by the result and the cut-offs of the various subjects. Of course some have valid reasons and as all you know that system is prone to twist and tweak for benefit of those in power and approach.

As per the University moderation committee they have taken the cognizance of NET and other state SET or SLET exams for the preparation of the result.

Those selected have to send their documents in support of the claim within one month of the result declaration and those appearing in their PG exams have one year time from the date of declaration of the result (UGC criterion is of two year they are saying it is only one year).

Are the vacancies in degree colleges will be out in one year??

Those candidates whose applications were incorrect /incomplete are eligible for the reimbursements or refund of their fee. Write a letter in this regard to the Member Secretary of Kumaun University. Send the copy of the demand draft along with the complete self addressed envelop.

One thing we could read in the notice regarding USET is that the University seems in hurry now to dispose the OMR answer sheets within 30 days. They were in no hurry to declare the result in that manner.

There seems no agreement regarding the cut-offs of various subjects. For example in case of Sanskrit UGC NET cut-off is around 65 but the USET is gone up to 67.43 for general category. One candidate was out of the race just because of this.

Some subjects it is very low.

For mathematical science it is 50.29 (general). For Physical sciences it is 54.29 (general) etc.

Those who were out due to 2-4 marks are planning to play another game.
