Lucknow, Jun 25 : The aspirations of the students residing in remote areas of Uttarakhand to pursue higher or even secondary education will be fulfilled with the starting of an ambitious tele-education programme from the next month.
Come July and the students of this hill state can get the experience of best of the faculties live through satellite. The concept of virtual class room is being implemented from the next month.
As many as 53 degree colleges of Uttarakhand will have this facility from next month in which the students can have the lectures from the subject-specialists and renowned teachers live through satellite in the first phase of this programme.
''All the degree colleges and inter-colleges of the state will have the coverage of tele-education from the next year,'' Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Chand Pokharial 'Nishank' told UNI over telephone from Dehradun.
In the third phase, even the high school, junior high school and panchayat schools would have such facility through which the students sitting at one place would be able to receive best of the education.
''It would prove to be a revolutionary step in the field of education and very few states in the country have been able to formalise tele-education projects in such a big way,'' claimed the Uttarakhand CM.
