Total number of seats remaining - 6260

They will give admission on first come and first served and merit basis.

Please remember that minimum qualifying mark for B.Ed. entrance exam – 80 marks in each paper for general category and 54 marks in each paper for others.

You can or rather you should apply in multiple colleges for admission depending upon the availability of seats there to maximize the chance of getting admission.

Where is waiting list of the Uttarakhand LT recruitment exam 2010-11 after the Lecturer and LT grade appointment, 25% increase in the LT posts

Click here to check the waiting list and read about the recent news and developments regarding the LT waiting list
(update- October 2, 2012)
Note- Henceforth the new information may be updated in the above new article only.

A gyapan (click on it to see the proper size of the print) sent by Mukesh, Manish and others to CM

They request you to send the same type of memorandums to concerned authorities.
Further UTET-1 candidates are now getting aggressive for the demand of Vishist BTC. Why not join them and get together. Consult them if they are willing to take you along and include your interest within their demands. Both of you can be mutually beneficial to each other.
Contact numbers of Mukesh, Manish, and Deven are there in the comments for any other query.

We have not been hearing any news of the much awaited LT waiting list (see previous articles).
If we help you recall some of the facts here:
There was open declaration of 25% (around 300) increase in the post in this LT recruitment process during previous C.M. (Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank) regime. The directorate of education, Dehradun had earlier prepared the whole Performa of those vacancies. But some informal news says that it is still to get passed by the government.

Mr. C.S. Gwal (Education director) had earlier himself said that after the joining of the lecturers and the LT grade teachers there is every chance of a waiting list.

Now the situation is:
That most of the lecturers and the LT grade teachers have been appointed.
Some of the Lecturers who were selected in the LT might have joined as lecturers.
This could have created some vacancies.

Some of the candidates of the provisional list of LT (oupbhandhik) appointment have been rejected on various grounds this could add further to the list of vacant seats.

So now expected increase of 300 seats + vacant seats by the lecturers + vacant seats of provisional appointments. (Please correct us if we are wrong)

So what they are waiting for?
Newspapers are also not looking into the matter properly. Even concerned educated teachers are also sitting quite and waiting. (We learned through small unnoticeable clipping in one newspaper that few members of certain group threatened to sit on dharna or so in the nideshalaya premises if their demand of waiting list is not met)
But except that news we could not hear something conclusive in newspapers.

Peoples at the directorate of education or siksha nideshalaya, Dehradun are tight lipped about this issue. Probably they might have been instructed to remain so. But this is indeed very important issue.
Elections are nearing and election code of conduct may come out in few days which would wash off everything from minds of public and the office bearers.

Have anyone asked about this matter from the siksha nideshalaya? Does anyone have any news regarding this issue?
Some candidates known to us is said to have send the memorandum to the designated offices and the concerned authorities through FAX regarding this issue. Let us see what they can achieve. You should also do such thing on your part for your own future.
Also remember to post your concern in newspapers.

Of late we are not hearing from and missing our valuable and well informed visitors (peoples like Deven, Manish and others) regarding LT issue.

Click here to get the contact details of the concerned authorities of the Uttarakhand Government (as updated on 26th of November, 2011).

Note- do share with us what (positive or negative) you have achieved by contacting them.

Declared result of UTET-1: 2011 or first teacher eligibility test (TET) in Uttarakhand by ubse.in, Score card of UTET-1: 2011, Mark sheet of UTET-1, Chances of Vishist BTC vacancies in Uttarakhand

Update of January 21, 2012- as per the notice by the Vidhayalaye Siksha parishad Ramnagar, those candidates who appeared in the exam after getting their admit cards from the Nodal offices or through the exam centers will have to send the photocopy of the OMR application form and the admit card to Parishad office by January, 31.

Update of December 30, 2011- as per the notice by the Vidhayalaye Siksha parishad Ramnagar, mark sheets of the UTET-1 can be taken from the DIET of your domicile district. They should have sent the mark sheet to the home address when candidates have paid them enough amount of money with the form. But we don’t know why they are doing this.

Update of December 15, 2011- Finally Vishist BTC or recruitment process for the primary teachers has been initiated.
Cick here to see new article for the details of the notification regarding the recruitment process and latest happenings

Update of 13th December, 2011- candidates with 45% (general) and 40% (others) in graduation are eligible for UTET-1 till 31st of December, 2011. (According to a newspaper report)
However this is not new news as candidates known to us with the above criteria could download their results.

Update of 6th December, 2011- according to some newspaper reports, Education Minister has ordered to release a new notification for UTET within three days, but it is not clear what he is trying to say in actual. And heart beats of the candidates waiting for Vishist BTC is getting faster with each passing day. Some of them are going to take actions regarding this. Click here to know latest on the Vishist BTC issue.

Update of 26th November, 2011-with regard to our policy of empowering the youth and providing them the necessary information on www.uttarabuzz.com we are giving below the list of various offices and Authorities of Uttarakhand Government like Directors, DIET, DEO, ADEO etc. including the contact details of Honorable Chief Minister’s office and the Education Minister.

Click here to see the contact details of the concerned authorities, designated persons and various departments of the Uttarakhand Government

Note- make use of those phone numbers and Emails as that all are your right and also share with us what they told you. For example regarding the BTC merit procedure or number of seats, you can contact DIET etc.

And according to latest newspaper report along with the confirmation from our sources High Court has directed government to declare with held or cancelled UTET results of the candidates with less than 50% marks in graduation.

Update as on 23rd November, 2011- If your result was cancelled or with held, and you fulfill the necessary criteria then you can write an application (do mention your UTET-1 roll number, center of exam etc, in it) along with the attested copies of your documents (mark sheet, caste certificate or whatever you have in support of your eligibility) to:

Secretary, Uttarakhand Vidhalayee Siksha Parishad Ramnagar, Nainital latest by 26th of November, 2011.

Suggestion- We also suggest you to take the printout of your result as it is and also attach that copy plus the OMR form photocopy of your sent application with the document and ensure quick delivery of the document because time is short. (However this is not mentioned in the official notice).

After a long wait finally the result of UTET-1 is declared but this is just beginning, as this issue has to move one or two crucial steps to be really substantial for the educated youths.
Read the seven points below and you will understand what we want to say.

Note- there are two above links for checking the result

Read about the revised answers keys as declared on 14th November

Here are some facts about the result of UTET-2011:

1-Pass percent was 27.5% more than 11000 candidates were successful.

2-Candidates who have passed or are under BTC training in Uttarakhand are included in list of successful candidates.

3-Decision on the eligibility of candidates who have cleared BTC from outer states and those with B.Sc. in agriculture will depend on court’s directive.

4-Well as per the Notice given by the Uttarakhand vidhyalayi siksha parishad, Nainital, they will declare the result of those 900+ candidates (having less than 50% and 45% in graduation) who were allowed to sit in the exam because of the High Court’s directive.

But now question is- what will happen to substantial numbers of candidates who didn’t move to the court and appeared in the exam with the same qualification? As per the notice they are not eligible!
Can anyone explain this ambiguity? And what will be the reaction of those candidates?

5-According to some unconfirmed report DIET’s are ready to accept the new candidates. Now as the result is out, district wise and subject wise merit of the candidates can be prepared. They can be given appointment now and later on the required training. But it all depends upon the government.

6- There are many candidates who will cross the age limit bar (but irony is that many of such candidates known to us are sitting idle and just waiting). And as we have discussed in the previous post that after January 2012 Vishist BTC is closed, we don’t know why they are not taking some proactive approach.

7- There are reports that Election commissioner of India Mr. Kureshi is visiting Uttarakhand on 17-18th of November and probably dates of election will be declared soon.
So now in light of above mentioned overlapping issues what will happen to those 2200 vacancies of Vshisht BTC. (Also read our previous posts on this issue)
It is the case “right now or never”.

Part-2: 9th November was 11th birthday of Uttarakhand- so what it means to us? Some issues we need to look at and future prospects

Just see the recent examples.  UTET form cost almost INR 700. And result is still awaited and hope of Vishist BTC is in lurch due to this or that reason (please read other posts regarding UTET, Samuh-g etc)

Samuh-g has cut a huge hole in the pocket of unemployed youths. But there is no surety as of now that after the exam they will give the appointments. No one cared for the cancelled Patwari exam. Where has gone the money collected from the peoples?

After controversial LT appointments, dangling “carrot of 25% increase in the post”, many candidates getting out of the current appointment list due to various reasons, coming elections they are eagerly looking for the ‘waiting list’.
But once some peoples get appointment they want to get posted at right places or so.
I leaned that 109 recently appointed lecturers haven’t joined till last of October.
Can someone tell us what happened to them?

Lots of private B.Ed. colleges have just made things more complex.

Thus numerous other factors associated with the unemployed youths and common man which make peoples just keep their finger crossed allow politician to play their game and also
Keep peoples like us at uttarabuzz.blogspot.com and other website always busy!

Of late I have heard peoples talking about noticeable “welcome greenery on mountains”, less jungle fire destruction but it might be more like nature playing bigger role than the government policies!
Interests of Elephants, tigers, Bears etc. have frequently clashed with the interest of the local peoples. For drinking water, natural springs or some local made arrangement are still the sources. Doctors, teachers, and other such gentlemen are not willing to go to the remote area, hampering the crucial medical and educational support system (which are already bare minimum, always been like drop in ocean in remote areas) required for any growth and development. AIIMS is also going to be near planes (Rishikesh) not in hills. Pathetic condition of electricity supply in the remote hill regions need to be improved. Tourism industry needs to be tapped efficiently for the benefit of the state.

Strikes and rallies are now routines.
These instruments were not so popular earlier as they are now or were they?
And the politicians and the bureaucrats are also becoming used to it. Unhealthy trend,
Indeed. But how else they can make them work properly?

Corruption had been there previously and, I don’t want to say, but may seems to be remaining there for time to come.
Peoples have raised doubts about the integrity of high profile peoples like previous C.M. and current Chief Secretary of the state.

As corruption is at every level and corrupt peoples are not aliens, they are peoples around us. Some are well known others not so well known until news of CBI raid etc. flashes in newspapers or you willingly or unwillingly meet them in some offices.

What we should do is to bring down to some lower level by hook and crook.
And for any such initiative common person among us has to be pro-active.

So have you ever asked your Gram Pradhan about the empty gram panchayat land sold for commercial purpose? Or at least ever took pain to ask about the government schemes running out there? What happened to Govt. grants came for that road in your area?
Actually most of us just talk or criticize point finger, like I may seem to be doing here, but seldom take at least some measures.

How often you have used the RTI? It may not make a good difference but what is the harm in doing it? So now how can we eradicate corruption?

We hear of Deccan Airways flight from Dehradun to Pantnagar. Ok. What it really means to our ‘Bada’ and ‘Badi’ (names given to good old peoples) living hard life in villages? But If I go by my own experience and observation barring few most of the oldies are more or less accustomed with that life style.
However ask them and they will tell you real changes, good or bad, that have taken place in these years, for sure.

We, so called new generation, can’t think of without internet, Bikes, Cars, mobiles, different foods (have you heard about Jhangora, patyur, tairu, timil, Bedu etc) just ask your grandma or grandpa or seniors how they used to manage lifes in villages).

Most of you peoples or your near and dear ones will tell you the real story as new generation either living in Noida, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Delhi, Dehradun, Rishikesh, etc. or some more ambitious ones living abroad are mostly oblivious of the real life of the Pahad.
If you ask me personally I have seldom been to the dingy corner areas, but wherever I went I always liked the peace and serenity, the ‘slow’ (if compared with fast Metro city life), “without much distractions” (without horns of vehicles, Internet, Mobile signal!) kind of life out there.
And always wondered how our previous generation lived out there without lack of today’s basic amenities. How I can make a difference to the lives of peoples living there?
There can be lot to say with facts and figures but there are constraints.
What you feel?  Comment it.

Note- views expressed here are personal and there is always scope of counter view.

9th November was 11th birthday of Uttarakhand- so what it means to us? Some issues we need to look at and future prospects

Frankly speaking I don’t remembered this day unless I read a sad story of Haridwar stampede and gloomy picture of development, corruption etc. in 11 years of Uttarakhand by “Vijay Tripathi” in “Amar Ujala”.
And read about of UPA chairman Sonia Gandhi visiting ‘Gauchar’ to lay foundation of much ambitious rail line project between Rishikesh to Karanprayag with other related political drama in the election season to be played at the cost of nuisance to common public in form of road Jam etc.
(But I also tried to remember it from exam point of view, it can a good question for upcoming exams for you! jokes apart!)
However if the rail link materializes on time it will surely be a not just good but excellent step in the development of our state. In fact it is one of three basic requirement of development among electricity, water supply and roads (Bijli, Pani, Sadak).
And peoples might also refrain from migrating to lower areas. (I read that 1174 rajaswa gram or villages are now officially without “villagers”).

Had British stayed a bit longer they would have given it to us way back before our independence. Isn’t it?
So how you recalled this day? Anyone genuinely remembered it?

After reading that article I felt that there is always counterpoint to any view. As said by Mr. “Vijay Trpatihi”, development in our state lagged behind. No doubt. There is always scope of more development, but if we compare it with some other states, our report card would be slightly better, I bet.

On other side If I see other states that came up along with Uttarakhand or M.P. or U.P. (our nearest neighbor), I don’t know about the government statistics, but on ground level see the roads, standard of living of common peoples, corruption,  condition of electricity supply, hooliganism by politician etc. in U.P.

There are some good things here to look at: likes of Lokayukt bill (let us hope it will trap some big fishes after the elections are over), Right to Service Act (operational from today), Special Court Act, Land purchase ceiling act etc.
Well even if they are all coming in the election time but they would make some impact in the time to come for the good of our state peoples. Amen.

We can boast of some good educational institutes, comparatively better roads, tourism development, and Industrial development zones in Haridwar, Pantnagar, and kashipur other developments. Peoples can be seen eking out their living by working in those industrial units.

I find young guys and girls appointed as Policemen, Government teacher, Lecturers etc.

So should we eulogize the governments?

No, this is not the question here. I always strive to see things from many angles and believe that good things which are already rare need to be equally praised with same vigor as we criticize bad things. Don’t you agree?

Well, it is eye opener that in 64 years of independence and 11 years of separate state (ironically imbalanced development and backwardness was one of reason for Uttarakhand formation), we could have done much better.

On ground level we have problems of frequent Landslide (situations become dangerous during the rainy season), dilapidated crossroads to reach remote villages. Near China border we need to travel at least 70 K.M. before we get well built roads on our side. However the clever and cunning China has provided wide roads just near to the border line. Peoples have to risk their lives when crossing waterfall or rivers through makeshift bridges to reach their places.

My one friend who is also Lecturer in inter college near Pauri also complains of risking their lives when crossing a small river during rainy season.
Rolling up their pants, sometime taking out their shirts (to maintain their crease), putting shoes and other belongings in their bags like other school children (yes, I am not joking here) just imagine when peoples see “guruji” in that condition and moving through a rope bridge like doing some sort of adventure sports and then walking a long distance to reach up to the school.

This is the condition of a place just 4 hours distance from Rishikesh. Just think of life of the peoples of interiors of Chamoli, Bageshwar, Champawat, Pithoragarh, and Uttarkashi etc.

Unemployment has been an ever growing problem with insensitive and narrow minded government policies and sluggishness of bureaucracy along with rampant corruption.

Lack of entrepreneurship on part of hill peoples (yes, I strongly feel this is also playing its part with lot of emphasis on getting sarkari naukari than other means of employment) and lack of small scale industries (with little scope, barring in some places, of large scale industries in the hill areas) are also factors creating the army of degree holder unemployed youths or more technically “white collar unemployment”.

Lots of costly forms need to be filled for the various exams and there is intense competition for few seats (generally as seen in the recent times that few vacancies are published while lots of them are kept under wrap). Moreover Government just rub salt on the wound by increasing the price of forms. Read more by clicking here..

Question paper and answer key- combined state lower subordinate service (pre) exam-2010-11 by UKPSC, Haridwar, Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand PSC Naib Tehsildar (NT) exam question paper with answers

Update (18th November)-check the officially declared answer keys of the Lower subordinate (Pre) Exam-2010, General Studies & General Aptitude Test – Series (A, B, C, D)

But according to authorized UKPSC answer key (set B), prepared by some of the responsible and educated persons sitting in the offices of UKPSC, Haridwar:

Q6- highest salinity is found in- Indian Ocean (option ‘b’)
It must be option ‘c’- Dead Sea with 33.7% salinity.

Q75- winter line is shown in Shimla (option ‘a’)
We think it should be option ‘c’ i.e. Mussoorie.

Q93-area wise biggest national park of Uttarakhand is shown option ‘b’-Rajaji national park (820.42 sq. KM)
It could be option ‘a’- Gangotri national park (2390 sq. KM)

There may be more such mistakes.
Waiting for the revised answer keys?

And forgive us if we might have also committed some mistakes in our answer keys below. After all you see, we are not designated office bearers of UKPSC, Haridwar and we are also not that much responsible and accountable to anyone and also not drawing hefty amount of salaries from the government exchequer to design the question papers and the answer keys. We read few books and searched the internet, just that!

This quick decision might be taken in the light of the coming elections, but gone wrong?
And will dent the reputation of such a prestigious organization.

What is your say?

Click here to see the question paper (set-B) of combined state lower subordinate service examination-2010 conducted by the Uttarakhand public service commission (UKPSC), Kankhal, Haridwar on November 6, 2011.

Candidates opined that paper was bit lengthy. Also there were perhaps, too many statistics and computer related questions. Good amount of Uttarakhand GK was also there.
Overall performance of candidates pointed toward average cut-off. But the negative marking may also be a deciding factor. Let’s see how it turns out to be. What is your opinion?
Some questions were repeated from the various other exams held recently.
E.g. question no. 51 was there in Samuh-g exam.
Question no. 16 or 18 was there in LT exam. Etc.
What question you could find in such way? Tell us.
And hope that hints for one or two questions had been there in the KBC (kaun banega crorepati)!
Check previous article related to Lower subordinate exam for other details of the exam.

Here we tried to solve the paper for you. These answers are resourced from some books and internet. So please check the official answer key later.
