Uttarakhand cooperative societies: recruitment of senior, junior branch managers and cashiers/clerk in the district cooperative banks 2015

Uttarakhand District Cooperative Banks inviting application for the following posts

Total posts:
Group 1-Seniour branch managers- 14
Group-2-Junior branch managers- 66
Group-3-Clerks/Cashiers- 217

Note- posts are temporary but may continue in future. And candidate can apply for more than one post separately.
Candidate need to be the resident of Uttarakhand and registered in the employment exchange before the date of application.

Minimum educational qualification:
Graduate/Post Graduate with minimum 6 month computer diploma.

Note- as per the advertisement the diploma should be from an organization or institute that must be registered with the central/state government. And MCA, BCA, PGDCA, DOEACC (O, A and B level) are not required to have the 6 month diploma.

Reservation criteria and information regarding the posts available in the various districts will be there in the prospectus.

Availability and cost of prospectus with forms: from the any main branch of district cooperative bank from 8th May, 2015 to June  8, 2015 on payment of INR 500 (GEN/OBC) and INR 300 (PH/SC/ST)

Last date of submission of the form: 16th June 2015 

Age as on 1st of January, 2015: 21- 42 years

Selection Procedure: There will be objective type of test (0.25 Negative Marking)

Uttarakhand Gramin Bank: recruitment of officer and assistants or clerks 2013

Uttarakhand Gramin Bank, a SBI sponsored bank which came into existence on 1st November, 2012 with the amalgamation of the two banks namely the Uttaranchal Gramin Bank Dehradun and Nainital Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank Haldwani, is going to recruit:

1- Junior management officers scale-I (14500-25700) - 40 posts
2- Office Assistants multipurpose or clerks (7200-19300) - 120 posts

Who can apply: only those candidates who have appeared in the common written exam (CWE) conducted for RRBs by IBPS in September 2012 and acquired the minimum TWSS. And he/she should hold a valid graduation degree as on 01-06-2012

Cut off on total weighted standard scores (TWSS) required for applying:
Post-1 (officers)- 103 and above for OBC/GEN and 97 and above for SC/ST
Post-2 (Assistant or clerks)- 95 and above for OBC/GEN and 89 and above for SC/ST

Minimum age as on 1st June, 2012: 18-25 years (relaxation as per category and rules)

Process of selection: based on the merit of the common written exam and then interview at Dehradun

Application fees: 20/- for SC/ST/PH and 100/- for others paid through challan only

3-Uttarakhand cooperative bank recruitment 2012: Admit card, date of exam, important information for filling application forms, list of rejected candidates

Senior branch manager (group-1) - 9th September, 2012

Note- if you have not received admit card till now then just check your center and roll number from the above links and visit the exam center on the exam day 1-2 hour (strictly before the start) before the start of the exam with two photographs and pay Rs. 20 to get duplicate admit card.

And those who don’t have photo on their admit card (received at home) have to paste the same photograph (as pasted on the application form) on the right place.

Around 7486 candidates’ forms have been rejected. Most common reason is the non attachment of the computer qualification along with the application form. Other cases are of under age, non registration in employment exchange etc.

Important Instructions that should be kept in mind while filling the form:

1- You have to send the attested documents with the form.
2- You can fill the form with the Blue/Black pen but the address in the OMR application form and your signature are needed to be filled with the Black Pen only. So it is better to use black pen for filling the complete form.
3- The circles in the OMR application form will be filled with the HB pencil as suggested in the information Booklet.
4- If you are applying for the category-1, then you have to fill the point 8 and 9 given in the OMR application form.
5- Keep the photocopy of the completely filled OMR form the other form for any future reference.

2-Uttarakhand cooperative bank recruitment 2012: question pattern, syllabus and books


Syllabus and paper pattern:

 Category-1 (senior branch manager) and category-2 (junior branch manager):

Total questions- 200 objective type questions divided into two parts
Time- 3 hours
Negative marking- 1/4th

Part-1 consists of 100 questions related to:
1- History of Uttarakhand and its culture: 20 questions
2- Math: 20 questions
3- Indian Polity and Public Administration: 15 questions
4- History and Geography: 15 questions
5- English Language: 20 questions
6- Hindi: 10 questions

Part-2 is aptitude test that consist of 100 questions similar to Bank PO exams or the UPSC civil service aptitude test (CSAT).

Category-3 (Clerk/cashier):

Time- 2 hours
Negative marking- 1/4th
Total questions- 100 objective type questions divided as follow:

1- General Studies including national, international and regional subjects: 25 questions
2- High school level Math: 20 questions
3- Reasoning/Mental Ability: 20 questions
4- Hindi/English language test: 15 questions
5- Computer Knowledge: 10 questions

Reference Books:
 Uttarakhand related matter -Winsor Publication, Arihant, Vani Prakashan, Lucent etc.
 History- NCERT 11th and 12th Books or Bipin Chandra
Geography- Spectrum, NCERT Books etc.
Indian Polity- Bakshi or DD Basu

Unemployment Benefits for the Uttarakhand youth: The reality


Samuh-g or group-c exam dates in Uttarakhand clash with the The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) common written exam (CWE) for recruitment of Bank Clerks in 19 nationalized Banks or public sector Banks. Samuh-ga (group 10 and 23) in Uttarakhand and all India bank clerical exams on 27th of November!


As per our policy of publicizing the concern of the common youth and common peoples, we are here posting this article and hope to get it resolved with your support.

Actually few comments by some of our valuable visitors (one of them is Pankaj Kumar) who are the source of inspiration for this website, we decided to put their voice in this platform.
Once again there seems carelessness, insensitivity or lack of knowledge on part of some of policy maker. Uttarakhand youth are going to loose, of course, a good chance of competing for much needed job opportunities.

There are large numbers of Bank clerical posts in 19 of nationalized Banks which are to be filled by common entrance test or CWE on all India bases. But Uttarakhand youth may have to choose from one – either Samuh-g group 10 and 23 or CWE.
At earlier instance also group 5 and group 8 exam on 4th September clashed with another very important SSC tier2 exam.
This time also it is going to be the same story so you all need to act fast and collectively.
Indeed it is very good chance for many aspiring candidates as for the past few years there has been bulk recruitment in banking sector.
And bank clerical exam might be easier as compared to other officer grade bank exams. So no one would like to just give it a casual miss.
Further there are lots of vacancies which are another encouraging factor.

Just see the number of vacancies, the level of exams, and the aspiration of big number of unemployed youths. How they can make such a mistake?
They don’t care unless and until shaken properly and beforehand.
Can some legal action be taken for such negligence?
We would like to be enlightened through proper comments by someone with knowledge of legal matter among our readers!

For now we suggest you all to publish your concern in some popular newspapers (as far as I remember no newspaper has raised this issue till now?).

Some of you peoples (collectively) must visit UBTER and talk to their head directly.
Try to squeeze something positive out of UBTER as they are the conducting body.

Election are approaching, take some local political party leader with you.
Send memorandum through proper channel to education minister Mr. Matbar Singh Kandari or Chief Minister. If required why not meet Mr. B.C. Khanduri directly?

See, things are easier said than done. But you will agree that these things are not impossible or are they? Some will power, collective and timely efforts are needed.
