UGC NET for JRF and Lectureship June 2014 notification and other information

UGC has come out with the notification for the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 29^th of June 2014.

New schedule for the application of the UGC NET June 2014 exam is as follow:

Date for Applying Online & generation of filled Bank Challan for Fee. 5^th May

Date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank Challan, at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). 7^th May

Last date of taking printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card: 10^th May

Date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (one copy) and Attendance Slip (one copy) at the respective Coordinating University opted by the candidate (with fee receipt & category certificate(s): 15^th May, 2014

How to apply:

Fill the online form then take print of challan and submit the fees in SBI branch. Come to the website again after two days and fill the entries of the receipt of the fees in the website and generate the application form with the attendance sheet and the admit card.

Send the application form to University.

Paste a photo on the admit card and get it attested by Gazetted officer.

Note- you have to send following things to the concerned university not UGC office:

1- One copy of application form

2- One copy of attendance sheet

3- One challan copy

4- Caste certificate (if any)

5- Age proof (if you are claiming it)

Doon University (75) and Kumaun University (76) and HNB Garhwal University (54) are coordinating Universities.

No need to send the copy of admit card.

Center of exam, Seating arrangement and other details will be published late on.

B-Admission based on Merit of All India Tests: (Candidates under this category are also required to fill up the prescribed application form before the due date): MBA and MBA (Tourism) based on valid CAT/MAT/CMAT Score 2014, B.Tech. Ist Year (Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Technology) based on JEE (Main) - 2014 Score, MSc Biotechnology based on JNU DBT-CET 2014.

Note- A candidate can appear in Entrance Test for P.G. programme in three subjects. Candidates applying for more than one PG programmes need to apply separately in application form along with the prescribed fee

Application Fee can be paid through direct deposit or DD in favor of Finance Officer Garhwal University: INR. 500/-(Rs 250/-for SC/ST/PH) for M.Phil/PhD/MBA/MBA (Tourism) /B.Tech.

For other programmes Rs 250/- (Rs 150/-for SC/ST/PH). Add Rs. 50, if application form is requested by post.

Criteria of selection: merit based on test, interview and academic achievement.

Update- Admit card for Sri Dev Suman University private exam 2013 will be available from 25^th and date sheets of first year of MA/BA and first year of MCom/BCom are also availabe please read the new information

The exam of Sri Dev Suman University courses will start from 7^th May and end on 6^th June 2013.

Session exam dates of HNB Garhwal University have been declared for different undergraduate (BA/BSc/BCom) and post graduate courses (MCom/MA/MSc).

The exams will start from 10^th April 2013 and end of May 2013.

Sri Dev Suman University, a newly formed state university situated at Badsahithaul Tehri Garhwal is also going to conduct its exam from first week or mid of May 2013.

Some 36000 (20000 for undergraduates and 16000 for post graduates) candidates will appear for its exam. Earlier there had been mad rush to get the private exam forms of Sir Dev Suman University. The Suman University lacking in basic facilities had to sell the forms through various mediums. And as per the reports due to non cooperation from the HNB Garhwal University it is going to conduct exams on or after 8^th of May or later.

According to the reports HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar is now going to conduct Private examination for the degree courses (BA, BCom) and post graduate courses (MA MCom) etc.

Let us remind you that earlier it was said that HNB Garhwal University (now a central University) would not admit private students for this year. And there were confusions and apprehensions regarding the private forms.

Meanwhile a new state University viz. Sri Dev Suman has been formed. But this new University is not properly equipped with staff and necessary infrastructure for its proper functioning right now, forger about bearing responsibility of exams at big level.

So it has been finally decided that Garhwal University will conduct the private examinations and the degree will be from Sri Dev Suman University.

This all makeshift kind of arrangement shows that everything can be done if our officials just think it is needed.

Anyway it is good news for many students who were waiting for these forms. Otherwise nowadays it is difficult to get any recognized genuine degrees at this much cost.

However one question seems obvious in today’s context where a degree from a recognized and reputed well known University matters a lot. There is whole range of institutions from fake to genuine but not known to good to excellent ones. A little known University like Sri Dev Suman University will take time before it is well known in the academic fraternity.

In fact, if reputation is to be put aside, you can rely on its degree.

Availability of the application for private exam forms: Starts on 18^th February, 2013

Where to get the form: SGRR PG College Dehradun, MKP PG College Dehradun, GRD Niranjanpur Dehradun and NWT Ladpur Raipur, Dehradun and other colleges also please check your nearby colleges.

Last date of submission: 10^th March (Now 12^th March), 2013, 15^th March (with late fees of Rupee 500)

Course fees for BA and BCom: 1020/- plus forwarding charges

Course fees for MA and MCom: 1220/- plus forwarding charges
