Uttarakhand Technical University, A State Technical University located in Dehradun, is going to conduct the entrance exam for admission in professional courses under various colleges of Uttarakhand affiliated to UTU, Dehradun for the session 2015-16.

Courses and the seats available:

1- MCA

2- B.Pharma

3- B.Pharma IInd year (lateral entry)

4- B. Tech IInd year (lateral entry); seats depends upon the second year admissions

5- Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) 1^st year

Entrance Exam information brochure and application fees: 1125 (General/OBC) and 625 (SC/ST).

Availability of the application forms: Starts on 25^th April, 2015 from the designated post offices of the Uttarakhand, and main post office of Delhi.

Counseling Schedule and stepwise process for BTech (UKJEE) admission 2013-14

Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) has declared the dates and timings for the counseling of the 13000+ seats of BTech in the state of Uttarakhand. 50% seats are reserved for the students of Uttarakhand state. The admission will be given on the basis of JEE (main) marks.

Stepwise overview of the process of online counseling for the BTech admission 2013-14

Step-1: First download the SBI challan from the website for counseling of UTU (link given below) and submit the requisite cash fees of Rs 1050/- in any branch of State Bank of India within the given dates

Step-2: come again on the given dates to fill the registration form and choice of the subject online

Step-3: Seats will be allotted to you on certain dates

Step-4: after getting seat in the college download the allotment letter and then visit the concerned college with the allotment letter, all your original academic documents including admit card of JEE main, Challan copy

First BTech counseling schedule: 27^th June to 15^th July 2013

Dates of download the challan form - 27 June to 5^th July

Dates of online registration: 1^st July to 7^th July

Date of seat allotment- 10^th July

Dates of admission- 11^th July to 15^th July

Second BTech counseling schedule: 16^th July to 31^st July

Dates of download the challan form - 16^th to 20^th July

Dates of online registration: 17^th to 23^rd July

Date of seat allotment- 26^th July

Dates of admission- 27^th to 31^st July

Latest on issue of Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) B.Ed. Admission 2013 and 2nd entrance exam to fill up the vacant B.Ed seats!

Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) Dehradun had conducted entrance exam for its B.Ed Course 2012-13 in August 2012 for around 2600 seats. (Click here to see the details)

 Out of 1350 candidates who took the entrance exam 850 were successful and finally 450 students were willing to take admission out of them. These were sent to different colleges after counseling by the University.

But then some 26 more B.Ed. colleges affiliated to the UTU were reeling with problem of vacant seats. As newly opened self financed B.Ed. colleges are more for making money then anything else they resorted to giving admission to the extra 1500 candidates who had not gone through the entrance exam.

As per the policy they cannot give admission without entrance exam.

Government machinery after getting up from sleep, as usual, now invalidated those 1500 admissions. Now those new students are in lurch.

Colleges are saying that they have informed the authorities about their extra admissions without the entrance exam. And even prepared for the second entrance exam after taking permission from the NCTE to fill up the vacant B.Ed. seats of the UTU.

Now the colleges and the authorities are locking horns and showing their own importance but what about those candidates?

Some unconfirmed reports also said those colleges were giving admissions on basis of the HNB Garhwal University B.Ed. entrance exam 2012-13.

So by their self made rule or whatever you want to say that one can get admission in UTU B.Ed. on basis of Garhwal University entrance exam!

Now when whole thing is getting messed up, it is clear that that rumor was true and many students might be caught in the trap.

Colleges may not acknowledge this publicly. But it happened.

But the fact is what about future of those candidates.
