Uttarakhand government has announced the GROUP- C RECRUITMENT (SAMUH- ‘G’) vacancies for 2014. Elections are nearing and new government seems in hurry to left no stone unturned. Any way this can be good news for the youth and we can see peoples flocking news agencies and booksellers. Well these businessmen are making brisk business out of these recruitment drives.
Though the previous Samuh-g posts are still being filled, new group-c recruitment has also arrived.
Three advertisements appeared on three dates - 9th, 10th and 11th February 2014 and some modification in advertisement was published on 12th of February 2014.

Vacancies are scattered among different departments and in different numbers. Backlog posts are also there. It seems that something is there for everyone but in small quantity. You will have to really look through the detail advertisement of Samuh-"Ga" 2014 for the post you are eligible and suitable for.

Age- 18 or 21-40 years (as on 1st January 2014)

Minimum qualification- 12th Pass/graduation/technical diploma/B.Ed and other as the case may be.

Fees- no fees have to be paid.

Note- registration in employment exchange of Uttarakhand is must
Apply separately for different posts otherwise form will be rejected.
No supporting documents to be sent with the form.
Keep the receipt of post and the photocopy of the filled form for future reference.

Selection procedure- Objective type written test and proficiency test (if required as typing, steno etc.)

Last date- 31st March 2014 for all posts

Admit card, exam date, exam center, question pattern and other issue related to Samuh-g phase-2 recruitment exam in Uttarakhand

UBTER has not completed the other eight group phase-1 recruitment exams-2011 but started the other Phase-2 recruitment exams-2011. Though it is not clear what will happen to those groups and also why they have chosen to conduct the exam which had been advertised quite late as compared to the phase-1 Samuh-g exam in Uttarakhand.
It may be because they are the almost same posts as clerk and steno recruitments in the courts of Uttarakhand 2012 (check the link below for that).

New Exam date- 3rd February, 2013

Time: 10-12 am

Group- 29 (Accountants and Auditors)

Samuh-g or Group-c exam phase-2 in Uttarakhand 2011-12 by ubter, recruitment of clerks, stenographers, drivers, accounts group posts: application form, syllabus, question or exam pattern, post groups and codes, minimum eligibility for the posts, age limit, reservation categories and rules

Update-
17th March, 2013-After Group 28 written exam now candidates are called for type/steno test as follow check the list of roll numbers and the dates of the tests from 8th to 20th April 2013 at Dehradun. They will also have to get their document verification done there. Download the document verification form here for group 28 only.

There are now total of 401 posts (earlier it were 312 posts) in various departments.
Some posts have been added to group 28 (new post code- 179, 180, and 181)

There are three groups (28, 29, and 30) which are now divided into 181 post codes.
 Group-28 (clerks, personal assistants and stenographers etc.)
Group-29 (accounts department vacancies)
Group-30 (drivers)

Selection procedure and exam pattern-
Written test be multiple choice type with negative marking (0.25%) and duration is 2 hours as before.
Group-28: 100 marks paper
Group- 29:100 marks divided into 50 marks for general as above plus 50 marks for the trade or subject related.
Note- on bases of requirement in some post there will be 50 marks for the type/steno test (which will be of qualifying nature only)

Group-30: 100 marks (25 marks for written test containing general knowledge and basic knowledge of driving of 1hour duration and 75 marks for driving test)

Important- general/OBC candidates must get 45% marks and SC/ST candidates have to secure minimum 35% marks to qualify the respective written tests. But this is not for the phase-1 of Samuh-g exam going on right now

And in case of clash of the marks, candidates with higher marks in written exam will be preferred and in case of clash of written marks too, candidate with higher age will be above in the merit.
Candidate must be registered with the employment exchange of Uttarakhand.

Availability of OMR application forms- 25th of December, 2011 to 15th February, 2012 from designated post offices of the state.

Age limit- 18-35, 21-35
There is relaxation (5-10 years) in the age limits to various categories. Check the new advertisement.

Last date- 15th February, 2012 through registered/speed post to “sachiv, Uttarakhand pravidhik sikhsa parishad, dwara- senior post master, GPO, Dehradun 248001”

Note- keep photocopy of the sent application form with you for any future reference.

Cost of the OMR form- INR 500 for general/OBC AND INR 300 for SC/ST
NO FEES for the physically handicapped and they have to send the conventional form rather than the OMR form along with the certificate of disability (Performa of which is there in the new advertisement) and the certificate of employment exchange registration.

Direct recruitment of group-B (kha) and group-c (ga) in Uttarakhand, UKPSC, Kankhal Haridwar group-b (kha) and group-c (ga) recruitment

Date of advertisement- 1st October, 2011

Last date- 31st October, 2011
Place to get the OMR forms- designated post offices of the state
Cost of the form- Rupees 220 for general and 130 for others
Place to send the form- secretary, UKPSC, singhdwar, Kankhal, po- Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar 249404
Separate forms need to be sent if applying for more than one post.
There will be negative marking in the objective type screening paper for these posts.

For group-c post - registration in Uttarakhand employment exchange is must. And there is one time relaxation of 5 years on upper age limit.

Group-B Posts- principal, adhikshak, (1 each for Uttarakhand woman candidate only) and vyawasthadhikari, 2 posts (one reserved for woman)

Group-c posts- Junior Engineers in sahari vikas vibhag (total 9 posts) and in electrical dept. (total of 2 posts), kar and rajaswa adhikshak (10 posts) and nirikhshak (38 posts), Safai and khadya nirikshak (65 posts).

Number of posts can be counted on fingers and minimum requirements also seems to be discouraging common graduates from applying for the posts.
Further these posts could have been bundled with the previous advertisements of group-B and group-C to avoid the extra burden on the unemployed youths and also to avoid the costly, time consuming process of separate recruitment.
I may be overlooking the technical difficulties in the above process (combining these with other previous advertisement) but it’s not that impossible kind of thing if our policy makers really think of it. But who cares?
After all that would only drain state’s money or money of the common peoples involved in the whole process. And thank to the educated unemployment there would be definite mad rush to fill the forms. And all knows that process might get stretched for years (hope it may not happen with UKPSC) and some  of you may loose their photocopy of the OMR application or even forget about this form by then, or worst the process may be dragged in court (as happening with other cases).
How and why can’t we pressurize the policy makers to be accountable, time bound, rational and holistic in their approach while making any policy for the benefit of common peoples?

Q NO- 67 is ambiguous question and has difference in the options given in Hindi and in English.
They are all correctly matched in English.

First 50 questions, as I have said in previous articles, that they require you to have the knowledge of graduation subject or at least 12th standard science.
Last 50 questions of general awareness etc. seems little bit trickier when compared to the last 50 questions of group 5 paper (check another article related to question paper)

Questions seem to be more or less related to general history and geography which we have read in our 10th standard or so.
Question no.70 was also there in UTET-1 held on 27th August, 2011. You can check this in previous articles.
Uttarakhand based questions were also easier to answer and most of them would be there in some good books.

After the First exam of Samuh-g or group-c recruitment, phase-1 on 4th September at Dehradun only, other group exams of the Samuh-g would be held on different centers of Uttarakhand.
Reports also claimed that now if the total candidates for a particular exam would be above 5000 then there will be a center in each district of Uttarakhand for the remaining group’s exam of the Samuh-ga recruitment.
And in case the total numbers of candidates are less than 5000 then there will be at least four centers. Two each in the two divisions (mandal) Garhwal and Kumaon of Uttarakhand.
Good step indeed but that should have been done bit earlier. 
Imagine needy peoples coming from Pithoragarh or Almora etc. to Dehradun for the exams. However they have paid INR 500 for each post. Some have also applied for 5 posts per person.
Any way now the government has decided to hold the next group exam of Samuh-g as follow-

Group-13 include- (concluded on 20th of November)
Post code-15 (29 posts of X-ray technician in chikitsa swasthya awam parivar kalyan vibhag)
Post code-47 (1 post of X-ray technician in ayurvedic awam yunani sewaen)

Note- exams of group 19, 10, 23, 21, 02, 04, 07, 13, 01, 03, 05, 08, 09, 12, 15, 16, 17, 20, 26, 22, 24, 25, 27, 14, 11 (phase-1), 29, 28, 30 (phase-2) and abkari sipahi (phase-3) are over so new groups dates are expected to be coming soon. So keep in touch for details of new exam dates, centers and admit card.

Please confirm yourself with  details of the group-c or Samuh-g phase-1 advertisement (the official advertisement is now again available here on request of many visitors)

Or they can also check their center from the UBTER office and then visit their exam center a day before the exam along with two recent photographs, application form photocopy, relevant document in support of your eligibility and a photo ID and get their duplicate admit card for Samuh-g or group-c exam free of cost.

And remember that if you group is not falling under any of the above group you should wait for the other dates.

GROUP-‘C’, SAMUH-‘GA’ SAMUH-‘G’ EXAM IN UTTARAKHAND - CALL LETTER OR ADMIT CARD, DATES OF EXAMS OF DIFFERENT GROUPS OR POSTS, EXAM CENTERS

Important-Group 06, 11, 14, 18 exam dates are not declared yet. So please check the admit card and date link again. And as dates are not declared so you will also have to wait for the admit card.

You should check the provisional admit card for Samuh-g or group-c exam-2011 for those groups whose dates and centers are already declared by clicking here 
And write your name and DOB correctly as mentioned in the application form.

Other group’s exam dates are yet to be declared. So wait till then. And don’t try to download other group admit cards whose exam dates and center are not declared till now.
Even if various dates are declared, you should try to download admit card few days before the latest groups’ exam date for your own sake. As the link for admit card may not be active till then (as seen in the previous group exam cases). So it will or may show you “no record found” or something of this sort, which may then disturb you unnecessarily.

Even if you can’t get your admit card 2-3 days before the exam through internet or by post, there are other ways described in the appropriate article to get you admit card unless your application has not been rejected for any reason.

In case of rejection of your application you should try to contact UBTER on the numbers given below. Better to contact them in person.

Further as the dates of different groups are being declared in stepwise manner you just need to log-in frequently to see or search the updated information of the related articles in this website (www.uttarabuzz.blogspot.com) or read the previous comments below the relevant post or if necessary just write your own comment (please read “how to get latest update from …” on top of the website) with all details in short and check after few days for the answer.

Note- if you have followed the matter properly and done everything mentioned above or in the other articles related to your problem, you may not need to ask anyone or go anywhere.
Even if you are doing everything correct from your side and still the problem persist then tell us. We will also try to look into the matter.

One point that you must be aware of is that there are 27 group codes and these include 60 various post codes (post names e.g. Computer programmer, lab assistant, photographer, physiotherapist etc. in different government departments of the Uttarakhand.)
FOR EXAMPLE- group-8 of Samuh- ‘ga’ include post code of 9 (lab assistant for pravidhik siksha vibhag), post code of 14 (lab technician) and post code of 46 (lab assistant in Ayurveda and Yunani services).  
This might confuse someone. And it has been noticed that peoples have applied for as many as 5 post codes per person.
So check carefully the post codes along with the group codes for your exam dates and other details.
And as far as exam centers of the group-c or Samuh-ga is concerned, first Samuh-g exam-2011 is in Dehradun only. For rest of the group code exams other center may be included.  Please check here regularly for any update on issue of Samuh-g in Uttarakhand.

 They (Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee) have not provided the deep details syllabus of various post codes of group-c exams in their full advertisement of Samuh-g vacancies phase-1. There would be 100 questions in total to be answered in 2 hours.  First 50 questions would be of General Hindi, General knowledge, including the general awareness and brief knowledge of geography, culture, history etc of Uttarakhand in second part (50 questions) of the paper it would be expected out of you to have minimum required knowledge of the subject or trade you have applied for.

Paper would be bilingual and there is 1/4th negative marking.
As such there are no questions or question papers or pattern available for the group-c or Samuh-g exam of Uttarakhand. (If you find one please tell us)

But we suggest you to check various previous papers of others groups for the Samuh-g exams to have a general idea of the exam pattern of Samuh-g.

But let us tell you that as at earlier instances also like in LT RECRUITMENT EXAM-2010-11 or other exams conducted by UBTER you should be ready and prepared to face a tough and lengthy paper. (If UBTER has not learned from past).

Further, market is full of books from ‘UPKAR’, ‘ARIHANT’, ‘WINSOR’, ‘LUCENT’ and other publications for first part of Samuh-ga entrance exam in Uttarakhand. 'Arihant', provide extra knowledge within reasonable price but peoples also pointed out few mistakes. (But that can happen with any book).
Tell us if you have found some mistakes?
But you may not find good books for the second part of the Samuh-‘g’ paper or subject or trade paper ( if you can find please tell us).
Here best strategy would be to refresh you trade knowledge or graduation subject knowledge (as the case may be) from your subject books.

Update of 20th December, 2011- for phase-2 exam of group-c:
The 100 marks and the 50 +50 marks in case of group 28 and 29 respectively will be same as mentioned above and as seen in the previous exams of Samuh-g.

According to various newspaper reports and the information from the office of Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education (UBTER), now there is following schedule of other group exam of the Samuh-g in Uttarakhand.

Though God know when the selected peoples will get appointment but finally the UBTER has declared the exams dates of the remaining two groups of the Group C exams 2011.
New information regarding the group-c exams in Uttarakhand-

Important notice- for the G 9 (post code52) and G 8 (post code 14, 46) G 10 (post code 22. 33. 50)
Candidates who had given the written exams of these post codes but could not get selected are now having another chance if they satisfy the certain criteria. Please check this along with the results of various other groups.

UTTARAKHAND GROUP-C ( SAMUH 'G') RECRUITMENT: 2011-12

Uttarakhand government has announced the much talked GROUP- C RECRUITMENT PHASE-1 (SAMUH- ‘G’) vacancies through various Hindi dailies of 5th of may 2011.
These include various posts of multiple departments.
It comes as a little bit of disappointment to us and others after looking at the advertisement for the Group ‘C’ recruitment that there is not to cheer a lot.

Most of the vacancies seem to be fit for the maths, agriculture, zoology, computer and statistics degree holders. Or for the diploma holders in special category.

Uttarakhand women would have the big share of the vacancies.
Last date of the form – 4th June 2011 (now extended up to 22nd July, 2011 and only those candidates can fill the forms that are above 35 years of age but below 40 years.
Other candidates who are below 35 years and had not applied or could not apply before previous last dates are not eligible to apply now). So be careful of that.
Upper age limit- 40 years (but with condition as explained above)
Fees have to be paid through the challan at the post offices and bank draft.
