District wise revised result, waiting list, cut-off merit, marks and call for document verification of the Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari or Village Development Officer (VDO) recruitment exam 2012

The much awaited revised results of the Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari or Village development officer (VDO) are being declared for different districts of Uttarakhand.

Remember the result was declared earlier also (click to see the previous result) but due to some reasons as explained in our previous posts, it was withdrawn. Now the again the modified result along with the merit list are available and hope this would be the final one for the around 800+ candidates to be appointed as VDO in Uttarakhand. They are also being called for their document verification on selected dates.

October 2013-After appointments in some districts and news is that various post that have remained vacant will be filled with the waiting list. keep in touch for any update.
Writ has been filed in the Nainital High court. Some candidates whose names were there in the previous selection has been omitted in the new result of VDO exam 2012. So matter is put on hold till the judgment. Keep in touch for any update on this issue.
5th June 2013- Result of the Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari or VDO has been revised. Check this- Revised VDO result and appointments 2013  for the updated district wise result of VDO exam 2012.
So guys bad news (as on 7th February, 2013) for you all aspiring candidates of the Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari or Village Development Officers recruitment exam 2012. You might be waiting for the call letter of the posting of VDO but the news is that the Minister has now cancelled the results or proceedings have been stopped till further notice.
It is said that there are gross errors (perhaps knowingly) in the result formation.

Well frankly speaking it was bound to happen as the anomalies in the result were quite obvious. We have earlier also said this and many candidates who were part of the exam also echoed the same views in the comments by our visitors.

The drama played by the government official and the exam conducting body, then the gross mistakes in the result is all making fool of the educated youths quite insensitively.
Why we peoples are so silent is matter of concern?

With due recognition to the law and order (which are for weak and common man only) if the half (other half may be abusing us and may be involved in the dirty game of “jugad”) of those selected get together they can get the policy maker to their feet.

No one among us has the courage to put an end to this tyranny and then hold those responsible for such mistakes in future!

In fact the minister and officials who were authorized to put a hold on the much awaited result were sleeping till now. Don’t they were those who delayed the result and then the real creator of the game?
With due respect hope most of them have not their beloved and “cash candidates” in the result.
Perhaps the GB Pant University is not the main or exclusive culprit. Undue pressures from the peoples in power and those among us who are well known expert of the “Jugad” and get selected make them bow to the temptation or threat whatever you can say.
But just think for those who were genuine candidates? Who cares for them?

We have been watching the GB Pant University. They have somewhat very clear cut policy to prepare the result on time and put everything on the site for all. (We may be wrong but this is what we had seen in the last few years. Take the ANM or GNM or Cooperative bank exam and other exams).
Why this time they made silly mistakes in the result?

Point is “salt in the dal” goes unnoticed but the utter disregard to rules and regulation with which the system plays with the aspiration of the peoples should not be acceptable. Anyone listening????
22nd February, 2013- It is said that mistakes like the result not showing proper categories or marks etc. of the candidates are there in the officially published result of VDO exam 2012 and therefore after rectification the process may move further perhaps after 25th of February, 2013

So after much push and pull (which is still going on) the result of the Gram Vikas Adhikari or Village Development Officer (VDO) recruitment exam 2012 in Uttarakhand is said to be out (according to one newspaper). The official site is now showing the result. There has been much drama went into the declaration of the result. What is really going on inside the government machinery may be known to the high and mighty ones.

One report said that the result was prepared by Govind Ballabh Pant University way back but later after a so called meeting of the officials it was decided that Panchayati Raj Vibhag Uttarakhand will declare the result.

Why to make simple things so complex? Just let the GBPAUT upload the result and let every one see. Why the drama of giving result to this and that then declare it by someone else after deciding it in meetings and so on.

Not to mention that all may not be well inside that is why this drama happened.

Anyway the post has been increased to 807 from the earlier declared posts of 771.
Total candidates appeared in the VDO Exam 2012 were 133461.

New Update- List of rejected/accepted VDO exam 2012 applications

Dear visitors we are getting lot of comments and queries regarding the issue of admit card for the VDO exam to be held on 21st October 2012. If in future information comes up you will see that here. So here we are presenting some information we could gather from different sources.

1- If you don’t receive the admit card then you should contact the District Panchayati Raj Officer (DPRO) Vikas Bhavan near survey chowk, Dehradun and respective Panchayati Raj Office of the district you have applied for.You must carry the receipt of the registered/speed post as proof of your application and two PP size photograph to get duplicate admit card.

One note of advice is that if you just planning to visit the Vibhag tomorrow or so for only admit card then we suggest you to wait for few more days as generally the admit card are received a week or so before the exam.

2- And it seems that the concerned department is going at a slow pace and even then making lot of mistakes in the issue of admit card. So if you have queries regarding the mistakes or misprinting on your admit card then you should contact the that Panchayati Raj department.

3- Regarding the syllabus of the exam no one can be sure of what can be asked. But based on previous experience we can say that you should be prepare from the GK of Uttarakhand, 10th level mathematics, common GK of tenth level, some current affairs and little basic knowledge of computer and internet.

The question paper of the VDO exam conducted by UBTER under the Samuh-g category can be of some help (some Samuh-g papers are there in this website. Please see them).

But mind you that the this VDO exam is being  conducted by Pantnagar University So better to have idea of the papers set by the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar U.S. Nagar, Uttarakhand
And therefore an extremely cautious suggestion- why not have a look at the recently held papers of ANM, GNM and the papers especially the Paper-III of the recently held cooperative bank exam? May be you can get some idea if not some questions!

4- There have been changes in the some centers of the exam for that please refer to the Amar Ujala or Hindustan dated 9th October 2012.

Revised VDO result and appointments 2013
Please read this to know about the result and cut-off of the VDO recruitment exam 2012

New date of exam has been fixed on 21st October, 2012 due to clash of many exams on 23rd of September.

Panchayati raj vibhag Uttarakhand is inviting application for the 771 post of Village development officer (VDO) or Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari in the pay scale 5200-1900-20200.
These vacancies are under the modified recruitment process which was initiated on 18 June 2008 but later on the process was stalled. So the candidates who have applied at that time (2008) need not apply again and those who have now crossed the age limit but were eligible at that time will be considered under the recruitment process.

Minimum Qualification and other criteria:
1- Intermediate plus basic computer knowledge.
2- Registration in the employment exchange of Uttarakhand is necessary.
3- One candidate can apply for one district only. It is advisable that don’t apply for more than one district as those did the same in the recent Uttarakhand Police recruitment were later found guilty and were removed even after the selection.

Age Limit as on 1st July, 2012: 18-35 years

Advertisement Number:  write this in Hindi in your form as we cannot write it in Hindi here – “Patrank 380/panchayati/ Raj/Vibhag/2012-13” or in short “Patrank 380/pa/Ra/Vi/2012-13”

Mode of selection: written test containing multiple choice questions (100 questions) with 1/4th negative marking.

Recruitment exam Fees: No fees has to be paid for the form now according to the latest notice in the newspapers however it was mentioned earlier that 500 (General/OBC) and 250 (SC/ST) payable to “District Panchayati Raj officer” through Bank Draft of any nationalized Bank

Where and how to send the form? To the respective District Panchayati Raj office where you want to apply through registered/speed post only. You also have to send a self addressed envelop (11”x 5”) pasted with INR 25 postal tickets along with the application form

Note- you have to send all photocopies of necessary document duly attested by the Gazetted officer.

Tentative date of recruitment exam: 23rd September, 2012

Last date of submission: 16th July, 2012.
